Egypt Vacations Filled With Fascinating Places To Go

By Amanda Chalmers

This multi-cultural country that has been touched by many ancient and modern civilizations promises one a fascinating holiday. Africa's largest city is found here. Cairo offers the visitor both the ancient and the modern together in one hectically busy city. Egypt vacations expose on to the exciting vibe in this land where the Pharaohs walked.

Sun drenched beaches welcome one at the Red Sea where scuba diving to view the coral and amazing underwater life is a must. Egypt vacations combine seaside adventures with wonders from a lost age with flair.

To really get the feel of the country one needs to take a cruise down the "life blood" of Egypt, the river Nile. Watching historical site, fertile valleys and amazing edifices created by nature and man glide by is a wonderful way to experience Egypt. One has the choice of taking a luxury liner or one of a more traditional river boat.

The varying architectural styles one sees scattered around the Egypt are the legacies of past invaders and rulers. Ancient structures stand tall next to their modern counterparts in Cairo. The markets have changes little from centuries ago and are still the place to haggle and push for a bargain when buying handwork items or delightful metal work objects. A quick meal at one of the eateries will introduce one to local cuisine that explode with taste in one's our mouth.

If one is a nature lover a visit to Fayoum to see the oasis, surrounding lake and waterfalls will delight one. If a person is pushed for time is advisable to make use of the many guided tours on offer.

However the visitor will have a difficult time trying to fit in everything there is to see. Whatever a person decides to do on Egypt vacations it would not be complete without a ride on the "ships of the desert" the camel. This is an experience one will never forget.
