The Best Gold Coast Accommodation Deals, Money-Off Coupons, Free Transfers

By Bailey Jamieson

Some of the best Gold Coast accommodation deals offer hotel guests bonuses such as free airport transfers, voucher booklets for local restaurants, shops and attractions, and free breakfasts. Often these packages can only be found online via Australia/New Zealand hotel booking sites, and may not be available direct from the hotel or apartment complex.

There is a bonus voucher booklet deal when booking two or more nights (one bedroom self catering) at Paradise Isles, a Mediterranean styled complex, on Burra Street, in Surfers Paradise.

This self catering apartment complex offers one bedroom apartments, with bathroom and fully equipped kitchen, in an attractive, low-rise, Mediterranean styled setting, with outdoor pool. Other guest facilities include a heated spa, and a communal BBQ area. All rooms at Paradise Isles have TV, internet and are air conditioned. The kitchen have both conventional and microwave ovens, washing machine and tumble dryers.

When booking more then two nights at Paradise Island via Discover Australia Holidays, the guest will receive a bonus voucher book. This gives discounts at many popular restaurants, shops and attractions in Queensland.

The Paradise Isles is at 40-46 Burra Street, on Chevron Island. This is between Southport and Surfers Paradise, just off the Gold Coast Highway. The busy centre of Surfers (the Cavill Avenue area has the best shopping and nightlife) is just a short distance from Chevron Island, as is Surfers' Main Beach.

Apartments at Paradise Isles are also ideally located for visiting Jupiter's Casino, or the Centro Shopping Centre. The nearby suburb of Southport is the place to find one of Gold Coast's favourite theme parks, Sea World. Sea World is a marine mammal park and aquarium. The Warner Bros Movie World and the Wet-n-Wild Water World parks can also be easily reached from Paradise Isles: they are in Oxenford just a short way along the Gold Coast Highways. Surfside Buslines, the local bus operator, run frequent services along this main route.

Transfer services to attractions such as the major theme parks can be booked through the bus company. These will pick up guests from any registered accommodation in the area in the morning, and return them after their theme park visit. The bus operator also runs airport shuttles between registered accommodation and the airport, which is near the Queensland/New South Wales border at Coolangatta.

Some hotel and self catering apartment packages include free airport shuttle. If they do then the shuttle should be booked at the same time as the hotel. In other cases shuttle transfers can be booked online, or via a travel agent, or when arriving at Coolangatta airport. Family tickets (two adults, two children) and pensioner discount tickets are available for the shuttle.

The Gold Coast resort is to the south of Queensland capital, Brisbane. The area has a warm, sub-tropical climate, and the Pacific coastline has many long and sandy beaches, with excellent surfing.

Inland from the beaches the hinterland is an area of great natural beauty. Many of Australia's finest National Park (e. G. Lamington National Park) are found in this mountainous, rain forest covered terrain, which is part of Australia's Great Dividing Range.
