While you want your high school scrapbook to be personal and significant, there are still a considerable number of things that you should try to avoid. I have included some things in here that might surprise you, but trust me, if I had not seen it done already, they wouldn't be in here.
Include The Folk You Don't like
There's not much worse than having a look at someone else's scrapbook and have them constantly make negative remarks about photos of the people in there. Scrapbooks are intended for (mostly) pleasant memories and pronouncing negative things about the people in there will only make the individual viewing your book uncomfortable.
If you simply cannot help yourself, make the book, get it out of your system and don't show it to anybody - you may only come off as bitter.
Write All Your Entries Like a five Year Old
Although it might seem like a great idea, trust me - it's not. What starts off as lovable and fun, quickly degenerates in an annoying and tough to read manner.
There's a reason you do not write like this anymore, so show everyone how far you have come by NOT doing this.
If you simply can't resist, include only one or two small little readable messages.
Include Fresh images of You In Your Old College Uniform
This is just all kinds of wrong. While Brittany Spears made this look attractive, most likely you won't. It will just be ill-fitting and make you look bad.
So unless you're a pop star with the body to match, do not do it. This counts double-time for boys.
Add Each Detention and Note Sent Home From Teachers
OK, so you will have had a bad streak, many people go through that rebellious stage, but do not go mad with showing us exactly how terrible you've been.
Stick to one page of notices at a maximum. Pick your favorite notes - it will get the point across without going over the top.
So there you have it, a simple list you should avoid with your next school scrapbook. Now if you may pardon me, I should go lie down.
