Should I Be Concerned About An e74 Error Xbox 360?

Unless you live under a rock, then you at least know what an Xbox 360 is. Now, if you are unfortunate enough to have knowledge of the e74 error Xbox 360 problem, then you probably have seen the "red ring of death". If you haven't heard of it and you are an Xbox owner, then you may have to deal with it in the future.

The e74 error Xbox 360 problem is caused by the system overheating. Apparently, there was a design flaw in the box in that the cooling is insufficient. Basically, the longer you play, the more your system heats up and that causes the wires to disconnect from the motherboard. As a result, your system just shuts itself down. Not surprisingly, most people initially ignore the problem and hope that it goes away, but that is never the case. It's imperative that you find a solution as soon as possible to further the damage to your system.

If you are one of the lucky ones, you have been playing your Xbox for hours upon hours, for years and never had an issue. Consider yourself lucky and hopefully you got one of the good machines.

If you can believe it, many of the experts in the industry believe that around 30% of machines are affected. Basically, if you have three friends, one of you is going to have an infected unit.

If you are already infected with the e74 error Xbox 360 problem, there are a few things you can perform to try and fix it. First, you can try to send your system back to Microsoft and have their technicians work their magic on it. The problem is that it will cost you around $120 and there is no guarantee that it will permanently fix it. A lot of owners have said that the problem resurfaced after a couple of weeks of getting it back from the manufacturer.

Unfortunately, a third of owners have to deal with the e74 error Xbox 360 problem. There is hope that you can fix it with a little online research. But, just be sure to correct it as soon as possible.
