Can A Golf Club Component Improve Your Game?

By Joe M. Randolph

Every golfer is looking for the best equipment out there to make their game top notch. Top brands advertise with professional golfers to showcase their equipment because they know if the best golfers are using their equipment, other golfers will catch on and maybe try their products also. But what makes a good club, how do you know what to look for in new equipment, and what is the most important golf club component?

What to Look for

To find the best golfing club part, we should first look at how a golfing club is formed. The clubs break down into 3 separate parts ; the grip, the shaft and the head. First, the grip is at the top part of the shaft and it is where the golfer holds the club. Grips can be made from many alternative materials, the commonest being leather. 2nd , the shaft is the center part of the club and is generally made from steel or carbon fiber. The difference in the shafts are measured in rigidity and length, a general guideline being, the more stiff the shaft, the better golfer you must be to hit it in the correct way.

Lastly, the head is the part of the club that makes contact with the ball, and the most typical golfing club component variance to search for in a club. The weight, shape, and material of this club part are what characterize a makers club from the others. Analysts have experimented with metals like titanium, steel and bronze to find this balance, and it's still a raging battle to this day as to who's got the best combo.

What Makes a Better Head?

Engineers have been planning and redesigning this club element for over one hundred years. The fundamental premise of these redesigns is to find the effect balance between the stable, heavier club head and the lighter, longer distance club head. The heavier club doesn't twist as much in the stroke, that may make allowance for a more correct, but less expansive shot. While the lighter head will make allowance for longer distance, but is less forgiving of a loose form.

Where it Stands

The most vital club element might be the head, but it works in association with the rest of the club to provide perfect performance. Where does that leave us you can ask? Well, in the final analysis, what it boils down to is the individual golfing club element that makes the most effect on the game - is the golfer. The only way to discover what the best club is for you is to try them out, each swing is dissimilar, and each club works differently in someone's hands. So get out there and start swinging!
