Going To The Amazon Rainforest In Brazil

By Valeria Mariano

The Amazon is purely the earth's most significant eco-system. The area of Amazonia, the correct title of this region, houses the most diverse range of flora and fauna across the world. As much as 20% of all the globe's species are located in the great waterways and forested acres of the Amazonia. The standard way to refer to this whole location is merely: The Amazon. Most worldwide visitors and their acompanhantes travel to this region either from Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.

The Amazon River is the 2nd biggest river in the world (just behind the Nile in Egypt) and just happens to move through the area of the Amazonia in Brazil. The river is formed at the intersection of Rio Negro and Rio Solimoes. At this location, competently referred to as, Meeting of the Waters, the dark-colored waters of Rio Negro merge and mix with the clay-colored waters of Rio Solimoes. The result can be wonderfully enjoyed directly in front of a tourist's eyes, and is definitely the most significant highlights of the area.

The Amazon's amazing volume has baffled the minds of many adventurers and explorers, giving rise to countless misconceptions and legends, incorporating those of gigantic sloths and passionate dolphins. Fantastic projects to master and make money from this natural wonder, from Henry Ford's attempts to tame the wild rubber trees to Brazil's Finance Minister Delfini Neto's efforts to pay off the countries' international debts by way of income from the Amazon, have all led to failure, and have provided this magical and steaming green land the alternative label of "Green Hell."

A great way to experience the rainforest together with your acompanhante is by living in it. As opposed to flats or apartments in rio de janeiro, Eco Lodges are specific hotels offering a specialized opportunity, with a selection of options dependent on how wild or "uncivilized" you wish to be.

Like rio apartments and hotels, several Eco Resorts come totally equipped with pools, air conditioning and phones. Others are closer to the ground, both literally and figuratively, and give you a feeling of the immensity of the rainforest temperature, dampness, mosquitoes and all.
