Apartments In Istanbul - How To Choose The Right One

By Istaley Hapart

Istanbul short stay apartments have many advantages for people visiting Istanbul for a week or two. The city has many such apartments, and some of them can be rented for under $300 per month. There are two ways to rent an Istanbul apartment find and rent one in person after you arrive in the city; or use an Istanbul apartment rental agency to book one in advance.

Online Apartment Bookings

It's very important to choose your Istanbul apartment carefully when you're making online reservations. Because it can be difficult to accurately evaluate the size of an apartment just through its photos, look at the square meter measurements that should be provided by the apartment rental site. Although one person could manage with a much smaller apartment, a small family will require one with at least 100 square meters of space.

In addition to size, choosing the right location is also important. The perfect spot for an Istanbul apartment is close to the metro, because that will enable you to get to difference places in the city easily. The rent will be much lower for Istanbul short stay apartments that are located outside of central Istanbul than for those in the center of the city.

Renting in Person

You could also look in person for an Istanbul apartment. After you arrive in the city, simply check into a hotel for a few days while you're searching. In some ways this will be more inconvenient than booking your apartment online. It will take time to find the apartment and then you'll need to move your baggage there from the hotel. There are some benefits to renting in person, though. For example, you'll often be able to rent your apartment directly from the landlord instead of going through a rental agency. You won't need to pay any agency fee, so you'll save what could be a substantial amount of money.

Naturally, you'll also be able to see the apartment for yourself before you rent. This eliminates the possibility of renting an apartment that looks fine in its photographs but is unappealing in person. However, it's usually best to book your apartment in advance unless you're already familiar with the city.

Finding an apartment in Istanbul should be easy. Many websites offer apartments of varying sizes in different parts of the city. Make your selection carefully, by considering the location, size, rent, rental fees and amenities of the apartment. By taking a little time, you'll find affordable, pleasant accommodations for your stay in Istanbul.
