Three - Girls Halloween Costumes: Witchy Or Nice

By Liam Joshuwa

Girls are picky, and helping one decide on an array of girls Halloween costumes can be a chore if not executed properly. You can help your child find the right kids costume by assisting with a streamline of the process. Yes, you may have a little spoiled diva on your hands that is hard to please; thankfully there are ways to pick out girls Halloween costumes that she'll adore without driving mom crazy. So do what you can to make the process smooth and you may just be able to avoid any child outfit drama this Halloween.

You'll want to start by looking at what types of interests your child has this year; I say this because we all know children's likes and dislikes seem to change as often as the weather. There will certainly be some cartoon, television show, or movie character to influence her decision for a kids costume this year. A parent would be wise to pay attention to the specific likes of their child to help them in narrowing their focus on certain girls Halloween costumes.

It is great if you know how your child thinks. Do you think she'll be okay with having you pick out her costume? If you know the answer is "no", you'll need to make sure to include your daughter in on any discussions regarding girls Halloween costumes - if you don't, you'll likely regret it. The best thing to do will be to go ahead and ask your daughter what she would like to wear on Halloween. In the case of finding out that your child wants an expensive costume choice, you can help figure out a more cost effective option that will satisfy the both of you.

Of course this is Halloween, not Christmas; but this doesn't mean that you should procrastinate when it comes to going to the costume store to look at all the girls Halloween costumes available. Don't find yourself on the eve of Halloween with a whining child in tow trying to pull together a costume from the scraps left over. You'll be sorry if you wait; a costume shop can turn into insane asylums during those last days before Halloween.

Children are fickle, and known to change their minds. Because this can happen, it is important to let your child have some time before deciding on which of the girls Halloween costumes she'd like to be wearing. Don't let your child get you caught up with going back and forth swapping outfits.

If you come home from work the day before Halloween to find your child in tears, or demanding a costume switch, be prepared to disarm the situation. Remind her that she was given the chance to switch before the costume was purchased. Find out what she does not like about it. If possible make some suggestions for improving the costume she has.

A store bought female costume can be enhanced to add to the originality of your girls Halloween costumes. Adding things like rhinestones and beading may be just what the doctor ordered when it comes to making this child outfit special. Just a couple of hours spent adding some extra detail to your child's outfit can create bonding and also add some excitement about what you both created together.

Your daughter can be the consummate tomboy or an up and coming diva. Either way, you can help her select from all the girls Halloween costumes available. Just remember to start out early and get your child's input to make for a more streamlined process. Female costumes are plentiful; you'll just need to find one that fits her likes. There are plenty of girls Halloween costumes that you can choose from; plus you may even have a ball with your daughter adding special unique touches to make her outfit stand out!
