The Best Coffee In The World... Brewed At Home!

By Steve K Ardington

Brewing java can be complicated, but is possible to do with a little know how. Continue reading for some tips on how to create delicious coffee each and every time.

Do not reheat coffee if you desire to have it again. Use a thermal mug instead. This will keep your coffee warmer longer. If you can't do that, make a new pot to have the best taste.

If you're bored of your regular cup of coffee, try adding some chocolate to it. You will get more energy and a great taste. One of the best ways to increase energy is to use a dark chocolate coffee in your morning brew.

When brewing coffee, don't leave it on the burner for too long after it is brewed. Coffee allowed to cook on hot burners will scald as soon as within 20 minutes, and that will make a bitter and flat brew.

You shouldn't store coffee near an oven. If you coffee is stored near a heat source, it can lose its flavor. Cupboards next to the stove and the top of the refrigerator should also be avoided.

Wait until your coffee is done brewing before pouring a cup. Some coffee makers are able to do this, but the coffee will not be as good. Try getting one with a timer instead. This way, you can have your coffee brewed before you get up.

In order to brew a great cup each time, choose coffee makers carefully. A French press will produce strong coffee, while coffee won't stay fresh in a glass carafe. If you constitute the entire coffee drinking portion of your household, think about getting a single-cup machine.

Do not pour from the carafe until the full pot has brewed. It's weak in the beginning, but by the time it's done it's at the full strength. The mix gets stronger as the machine cycles through, so that the coffee is at the intended flavor only at the end.

Seek advice from family and friends about coffee. There are probably some good brews out there that people in your social circle know about that you just haven't stumbled across. See if they can hook you up with something new and interesting. If you are lucky, you may get an invitation to try their favorite at their home, and you will have a free cup too.

To keep coffee tasting its freshest, remove it from the burner within ten minutes. Anything sitting longer than that will start to burn, turning the taste bitter. Use a thermos instead to keep it warm.

You shouldn't store your coffee in the refrigerator prior to brewing. Many people keep their beans in the fridge because they think doing so keeps them fresher. But, coffee actually absorbs the smell and flavor of whatever else is in the fridge.

Don't grind your coffee beans until you're ready to brew a fresh batch. The flavor of the coffee will diminish shortly after it's been ground up. If you grind it all in advance, it will lose the flavor before you brew it and the flavor of your coffee will suffer.

Carefully choose the water you use to make your coffee. If you use bad tasting water to make your coffee, the coffee will not taste great. It is a great idea to make sure there are some minerals in the water. Minerals are important in ensuring that your coffee tastes balanced and not bitter.

If you have an old coffee machine and you want to achieve the best flavor, brew some hot water before you brew coffee. When you have brewed the water and it is hot, put the coffee grounds from the beans in. This way, you can make sure that the water is hot and the coffee is flavorful.

Is your mind now full of new ideas about your morning cup of coffee? With all of these choices out there, shouldn't we try them all? With any luck, you now have a greater willingness to experiment with a broader range of coffees.
