Working for another company can be easier for some people because they do not have to deal with making schedules and keep track of the finances.

Wood is what sash windows are made from. These can be found on a lot of older houses. Weather conditions can cause damage to them and require them to be fixed. Paint can chip or peel and make them look older. The house value can be increased when the sash windows are repaired.

The cords or slats can also break. Many people do not know how to fix them or maybe they do not have time to do it so they will hire you to do this. As long as you do work that everybody is happy with, then you will have a lot of advertisement from people telling their friends.

When a business starts up, tools may need to be bought in order to do the work properly. Depending on whether or not you have woodworking tools already, you may have a huge expense in doing this. You need to have a truck so that you will be able bring the supplies that are needed for the job.

Some of the parts for sash windows can still be bought but others will have to be made. This is where you will be needed the most. You will also need to be able to match colors of paints because most of them are going to need to be repainted.

One of the things to be considered if you are thinking about starting up this business type is who is handling the money and how it will be done. If can keep track of records easily then it may be cheaper for you to do it. But you may not want to do this if you have a hard time keeping bills and receipts in order.
