Your creative instinct does not have to be at its best if you want to attempt rubber stamping. An aesthetically challenged person will do this activity of stamping the paper without effort. If you are a newbie, you may use about 2 stamps to make a design on the card and finish it with a personal message.

The material you must get started is ink, a paper and obviously rubber stamp. To make the card look snazzier, you may use paints and pens that come handy. There are two types of rubber stamps- the mounted and the unmounted ones. The mounted ones are more easy to use as they're mounted with a wooden block to hold with.

Even the inks come in several colors. It's smart to use the colours with the dark dye. The reason being they dry fast and don't require you to be too careful. The next thing is the paper, you may use any paper but if you're a beginner you have to use waste paper to practice. The computer paper and the blank greetings cards are also good choice.

You can go forward and start when you have all these requisites to hand. You can create many fun designs with a little help from rubber stamping. For starters, you can stamp in abstract positions to make a collage. If you are making a card for somebody who's a shoe lover, you can try to get a shoe stamp and use it in any fashion you like over the paper. You can then finish it off with a genuine message.

After your job is done with the message, you need to give some finishes to the card. You can smudge a chalk of your choice all over the greeting card. The ink may also be used to pen messages. Other effects can be given by embossing powders ; they add a professional touch to the cards.

So, now that you know the fundamentals of rubber stamping, it's time for you to get started.
