Planting A Blue Henon Bamboo Tree Is A Great Idea

By Ruthie Calderon

Many people like to plant different shrubs or trees in order to add more privacy to their gardens. Generally the faster growing plants are the more popular as not many people want to wait for many years for this cover to become apparent. One plant that many are turning to is the blue henon bamboo tree as it can grow as tall as thirty feet and very quickly.

The tree has a blue green colour to it and has a very beautiful appearance when planted in any garden. It is very fast growing and is known to grow as tall as fifty feet. The stems can reach anything from three inches in diameter and up and was first imported out of China in the early nineteenth century.

At Aaron's Farm they are able to sell this bamboo in clumps ranging at different prices. For a six inch wide shoot clump that reaches to six feet in length to the fourteen inch wide. When they are getting prepared to be shipped the clumps will be cut in half or thirds if they are over ten inches high. They are shipped twelve months of the year and can take about seven to ten working days to reach their designated destination.

The above one is used extensively in many business-related applications as it has a rather low need to be maintained. It also has a very pretty appearance. They were planted at the Turtle Back Zoo when they were preparing to introduce the White Handed Gibbons. Many other species were considered but because these were large it would allow the Gibbons to swing and climb just like in their natural habitat.

When material is made from bamboos the fibres will need to be broken down by adding chemicals and then forced through spinnerets. The most used chemicals are carbon disulfide, lye and a variety of different strong acids. They will normally be referred to as bamboo fabric or bamboo rayon.

Its branches grow from nodes and the canes are thick and tend to form a perfect place for birds to build their nests. They can reach a height of fifteen feet and have a green and yellow variegation pattern reaching up and down the full length. Many love the smell it produces when the leaves are moved by the wind as the aroma will remind one of a freshly mowed lawn.

The Robert Young Bamboo Plant has a very fast growth speed and tends to spread just as quick. Its canes are variegated with bright tallow and green stripes. It will resemble a weeping bamboo when at its full height which can be about thirty five feet. The prices will vary when it comes to the width of the shoot clump.

There are two types of bamboos the running and the clumping. It is well worth ones time to become familiar with these two types as the running one can become very much like a forest over time. Those that have planted the wrong type swear that they will never plant bamboo again.
