The Most Memorable HBO Shows Up To This Point

By Eric Davis

There is no doubt that HBO has some of the best programming of any channel. Regardless of the time of year, this premium channel has some awesome shows playing or at least on demand. If you're not familiar with on demand television, then you are missing out because it is a serious game changer.

This article will discuss what I consider to be the best shows of all time on HBO.

It only took one episode of True Blood to get me hooked. This show is seriously addicting and creator Alan Ball, who also was behind Six Feet Under, hit a home run with this graphic vampire series.

The Sopranos is another television series that is absolutely worthy of praise. If you ask most HBO watchers what their favorite show is, you will be likely to hear The Sopranos as an answer quite often. The show is gone, but remains in its loyal fans' hearts.

Plain and simple, Curb Your Enthusiasm is one of the funniest shows on tv. This show stars Larry David, the creator of Seinfeld, in a show that is very similar to Seinfeld in a lot of ways, except way dirtier and unfiltered. The result is harder laughter.

One of the more recent shows on HBO that I have come to love is Entourage. I did not watch the first season until recently, and was immediately hooked. This is a great show because the episodes are so short, you can breeze right through them.

The Wire is the last show that makes the list, and in my honest opinion, this is one of the top five shows in television history. All I can say is this is not a show that should be watched with a younger audience or for the faint of heart.

It is clear after going through HBO's arsenal of shows that they have more than their fair share of solid programs.
