Safety First With Tree Services Round Rock

By Mark Ward

Your home most likely has at least one tree on it, and chances are that you enjoy having it there a lot. Depending on the size, it probably provides plenty of shade form the harsh rays of the sun. If it is a fruit or nut tree, you get the added bonus of getting free food from it as well. Unfortunately, there are reasons why you might need to trim back or even remove it, and a a tree services Round Rock business can assist you with that.

Many reasons exist as to why you may need to hire a service. Lots of trees grow unwieldy as they age, and some branches may have invaded your neighbors yard, and they have asked you to fix it. Sometimes they come down with a fungus and cannot survive, so must be removed. Other times an errant branch is about to fall and could be a danger to a power line or roof.

Perhaps your trees were actually quite healthy, but were felled by a storm. In fact, violent thunderstorms or other weather events like tornadoes or hurricanes are a very busy time for your local service company. They can pick up all the fallen branches, then haul them away for you, so you do not have to do any cleanup whatsoever.

By far the most needed service is tree trimming. This can be done as routine maintenance, or in situations where the growth is threatening your roof or perhaps a power line, which could result in a lot of danger to your family. Always call professionals to do this job, as they are experienced in doing this with the utmost safety.

Another popular service is removal. This is generally done in the case of infected or dead specimens. Just like trimming, some people may attempt to do this on their own. For a really small sapling that is fine. But for a large, older specimen, this would prove too dangerous to do on your own. They can remove everything, including the stump and roots, then break it down and leave it for firewood, or haul it away completely.

Some yards may have a stump that has been there awhile, a remnant of at tree that used to sit there. In these cases, you can call upon a crew to perform what is referred to as a stump grinding. This removes the stump and all of its roots, which can grow very deep and therefore be hard to manage. This is no problem with the right equipment, which the crew will definitely have.

Many of these removal services are not just in the business of destroying these beautiful plants. Some will also sell you new ones to replace the old ones if you feel your bare yard needs some green again. Ask about any saplings they may have for sale, and whether they can come out and plant them in the ground for you.

Reputation matters in a business like this, since this type of job is hazardous. You want to make sure that they can do the job correctly, and that they are insured in case of an accident to protect you and them both. Also, ask if they get the necessary permits for removal, which some municipalities require.
