The Difference Between Womens Upscale Clothing And Casual Clothing

By Frances Walker

The way one dresses tells a lot about the individual. People are now becoming more and more creative with what they are wearing to different events. Women are especially known for their interest in fashion trends, what is new in the fashion world and what is not. With this going on, it is important to distinctly state what qualifies as official clothing and what qualifies as womens upscale clothing.

First, clothing that is universally known to be casual such as jeans, T shirts are not to be worn when attending an official event or when going to an office except when clearly stated otherwise. Even then one needs to remember to always have them neat and well paired to avoid looking careless. Well fitting pants or a skirt, a blouse or camisole of a neutral color paired with a blazer could work well, a scarf can also be used to complement the style.

Skirts, should not be too high above the knee or too long. Dresses of a length just above or below the knee can also be worn paired with a blazer or for smart casual, with a nice jacket. Heels worn should not be too high.

Settings that can overlook these rules stated for work outfits include jobs associated with art related environments and designs that promote creativity. In which case, there are no rules and dressing influenced by fashion trends is allowed. These are completely different and break the norm of having to dress in a particular manner.

When in a casual setting, what one wears is rarely dictated by any rules and is just mainly chosen based on what one prefers or is comfortable in. Such occasions are an opportunity to showcase what fashion trends and styles are current and are not limited to a certain standard. One has to always remember to get neat and is allowed experiment on what they think would suit them.

Upscale dressing mostly only needs one to look smart and be comfortable. Jeans whether tattered or not depending on preference are allowed in these occasions, any color or material of choice or even accessories can be used. Shoes like sneakers are made for this purpose. With upscale dressing, one can get creative without holding back, though one should always remember to pair it well to look smart.

The most important guidelines when wearing casual dressing is comfortability and neatness. Wearing official attire to casual events is also inappropriate. Otherwise casual attire rarely has limits to what one can wear. Usually it all depends on the style and preference of a person. Although, one still needs to pair nicely.

Lastly, one has always try dress right according to the occasion. Regardless of whether one is required to wear official, casual or smart casual, neatness is key. Official and casual outfits are different in many regards, official dressing need to be subtle while casual outfits can be anything especially not subtle. Most offices do have stated rules on how one needs to dress and if not, one should bet on official and learn from there. It is what most work environment would require. Smart casual is also becoming more and more the trend in offices.
