By Cornelia Reyes

After cleaning and renovating the interior, you are now down to the exterior of your house, which is the front yard and the backyard, by the way. Of all the plants that you have seen in the garden somewhere, it is the crape myrtle varieties that have caught your interest. Hence, you also wanted to create a paradise through the plants. But you have to know things about it first.

Before you purchase anything, you should always take into consideration the importance of the so called research. It is going to be tiring and boring, sure. But the information that will be supplied to you is going to be of great help to you. So before complaining, why not try do a little bit of what was called researching. This will give you a lot of advantages too.

Most especially if this plant has a lot of species, you need to learn more. Since not all of them could grow and flourish in your state. And the only way that could help you in your journey is the research. With this, you will have the knowledge about the variety of plants. The history and the evolution of such.

Some of them could grow in the full sunlight, but some could not. With this, then you will have the idea on which part of the land you will be planting it. Whether to the middle where it receives the flourishing amount of sunlight. Or the hidden corner with tiny shaft of lights enough for it.

It is known to be a fact that these trees sometimes go dormant whenever the new climate struck the whole neighborhood. Could be because it is too cold or too hot that the growth was somehow impeded. With this, this will give you the preparation on what to do during these dormant days.

And you must always take into consideration the right water amount of these trees. There are many of them but not all of them are the same. Some could live with a little water and others could not. And to break down confusion and to avoid the possibilities of withering, watering should be done properly and accordingly.

Of all the tress that you have planted, you should always prune them. Well, not all types would require the gardener to prune them. Some of them can only be done once the winter season has already come. Avoid doing it overly or you will be creating diseases to your crapes.

In doing the research, you can leaf through the pages of the book. They can be read at the public library and some could even be bought at the national bookstore if you happen to live near the mall. Either way, as long as you are eager to learn and to apply that into action, you can do anything between the two.

Or better yet, you may ask an agriculturist for the crape myrtle varieties. They are the first source that could give you credible answers. You can find them at the agriculture offices or at in the field, tending crops and other types of flowers. And always be yourself and be real so to keep the nervousness away.
