Siberian Huskies and German Shepherds are known to be cold weather dogs. Therefore, cross breeding the two will neither make them any good for warm climate. Huskies have five layers of coat while the shepherd has four which explains their not being suited in tropical areas. Moreover, these types usually crave physical activities so bringing them outside as early as five weeks after birth can further develop this innate capability. But just make sure to watch over them.

They are also famous to be fond of peanut butter, cream cheese, bone and milk and are easy to feed. But food choices still differ in accordance with the pup so make sure to find what suits and makes them happy the most.

To enhance your dog's mental capacity, you might consider keeping some treats on different parts of the house. German Shepherds are generally red, brown, black or green, thus mixing them with huskies makes a different shade. Both of these canine types have spots on eyes and head. This is also found among cross-breds. Their hair texture usually differs as huskies have silky coats while shepherds are of coarse hair. Mixing these two types often yield to varied colors, depending on what is prevalent among the dogs. You can also get light eyes and bowed tail from the husky. Personality traits such as being a fast runner from the husky and the shepherd's loyalty makes these two a near perfect mix.

Low appetite might indicate that they have worms which tend to be prevalent during summers. Siberian Huskies, being sled dogs, don't eat too much due to their slow metabolic rate.
