Temporary And Permanent Tattoo Cover Up Solutions

By Amy Ward

Generally most people do not think about covering up or altering a tattoo at the time they get it. However, tattoo cover up may eventually become a necessity. Many employers require their employees to cover any art especially in a business office. There also may come a point in ones life when they regret the decision they made to add the tattoo to their body and want to change it completely. These are only a few reasons one might find it necessary to look for a solution.

Before really looking into solutions that may be available for tat cover up, one should decide what end result they are looking for. A decision should be made whether they are looking for the tattoo to be covered temporarily or if it should be permanent. Additionally, figuring out what their budget is may also be a consideration in determining what to look into and what will work as a viable solution.

If the decision is that the cover up should be a permanent fix, it narrows choices down to two. The obvious first permanent option would be to undergo laser removal of the tattoo. This option to remove the art can be lengthy, expensive, and somewhat painful. It is important to note that there has been some advances recently introduced that claims to be less painful ways to cover up the unwanted art.

If the art is something that does not necessarily need to be totally removed, there are other options. Perhaps one should consider either lightening the original tattoo or changing its appearance to be something more appealing. As times change so do our taste in things so it is no surprise that something we previously found appealing is now much less so.

If the above option sounds appealing, it might work great for you. To be feasible, one must consider the original ink colors, body placement, and size of the original art s these all play a role in the outcome. The ability of the artist that does the cover up is also very important as well. Choose one with lots of experience so that the results are successful.

Thought and care should be taken when choosing the actual artist. It is tricky to cover up an existing design with a new design. Finding an artist who has lots of experience in cover up will increase the success rate. Covering the old ink successfully into a re-designed piece of art is really an art form itself.

After thinking about it, one may decide that finding a cover up that is temporary will work. If this is indeed the preference, one can research the many concealers and makeup that has been designed for this purpose. Theses products are easy to find and widely available at retail locations. There are may options which include waterproof and smudge proof products. There are products that say they are easy to apply and use with maximum coverage results.

Concealers come in many different shades to which allows coverage for matching various skin tones. Others provide tips to mix the product to match different skin tones better. There is yet another option if the tattoo is on either the leg or arm. There are stretch bandages are temporary options as they easily slide on and off making it a solution that can be used every day. Whatever the reason, cover up products are often needed and sought for both permanent solutions and temporary solutions alike.
