Color And Hairstyles

By Darren Hartley

Ombre, platinum, dip dyes and bright hues are the hottest hairstyles and color trends. It is all a matter of finding the perfect coloring shade tailored made for a personality. There are 3 basic options for hair coloring, that is, highlighting, single-process and double-process coloring.

The rule of thumb to trendy hairstyles and color is never to mess around with nature unless absolutely necessary. This means that a woman with a great base hair tone only goes for highlights while a woman with a base color that is a blah, can opt for a single-process coloring method.

As far as hairstyles and color go, home color kits have a come a long way. They offer the perfect solution for busy people as well as people who shun away from the heavy cost of professional coloring. There are top fashion professionals who are known to color their hair themselves, if you must know.

Anyone can go red, according to hairstyles and color experts. The problem, though, is finding that right red shade to go with your natural tone. Set aside your home color kits though. There are a lot of women who tried to turn their hair color red with their kits only to find they end up with orange hair. You wouldn't want to do that, would you?

Going dark is not a good option for hairstyles and color as far as women with gray hair is concerned. They are better off going blonde as this is easier to achieve and maintain. Staying gray, or at the very least silver, is not really a bad option as more and more women are getting the hang of it.

There are options to hairstyles and color that does not involve getting a permanent-never-washes-out hair color. You can either tint your hair or highlight the hair with a different shade of the natural tone. You can also try wearing a wig and weaves to change the hair up without actually changing its color.
