Metal Garden Art Needs To Be Of Quality

By Eugenia Dickerson

If you are lucky enough to live where one can have a garden to decorate but not sure where to start, try adding a personal touch and include some metal garden art. It is so diverse and far- reaching that you are sure to find something that will be unique and eye- catching. Anything from nature to shapes can be added for that something special.

One might want to set ones garden apart from the other houses on the block so as to reflect your personal style. A whimsical look could include gnomes beneath plants and shrubs. Decorative stones can add that subtle touch. Why not paint humorous saying or love messages on rocks and scatter then all around.

These kinds of sculptures can range from anything to everything so that no wall needs to be left undressed. Browse around until you find something that looks just right for you. Scenes from nature to shapes can be used and they can all be painted with a weather resistant paint.

Going to a scrap yard and having a look around, you would be surprise at what you can find. Anything from steel, to iron and chains could have a very appealing look. Imagination is all it takes. Whether you are skilled or not this is for everyone to try, it is a great way to experiment and because you are doing it for yourself, it will be uniquely you.

Phone around and ask some landscaping professionals if they make these kinds of sculptures. If they don' make, then most of the time they will be able to refer you to someone who can. They will even be able to give you an idea of where they can be placed.

Having art of flowers hanging from ones wall or even just up against the house could make your house a home. Adding arches along a cobble path way with climbing roses or creepers can give it that finishing touch. Hanging metal sun catchers with stained glass on ones patio or a sculpture of an animal crouching in the grass could add a feeling of mystery.

One might prefer to have a yard where one can sit and entertain friends and family, try adding a fire pit. It is a great conversational piece and nothing beats having a roaring fire while catching up. A water feature could add to that peaceful feeling. Adding cobble stones with some ivy growing in amongst them could be very eye catching.

Incorporating a gazebo in the back could add that serene feeling. Try covering it with hanging plants and why not build a barbecue, it is a great idea if you love to entertain. Tree sculptures could be added to any yard where Christmas decorations could be hung and during the year could be used to hang fruit for birds. No matter what your style or taste including metal garden art can only make the area outside your house that much more personal.
