City Bicycle Efforts & Why I Support Them So Much

By Rob Sutter

City bicycle efforts are some of the greatest to support and I'm happy many people have gone about doing so. This is the ideal exercise when you're talking about moving from one place to another, all the while retaining a good degree of exercise. It's something that I have taken to for many years and I don't see any signs of it changing soon. It's also an activity that I have had a personal connection with spanning childhood and beyond, which I'm sure many others can state as well.

It's almost embarrassing for me to admit now but I had utilized training wheels extensively when I was younger. When I saw my friends go about riding on two wheels, I struggled to shy away from training wheels even though my balance was not that great. To say the least, it took me a while to learn about things that other caught onto rather quickly. However, it was fun for me to learn so I knew that I had no choice but to continually go about this activity.

Once I started to utilize the two-wheel aspect of riding, though, you can be certain that my will to explore grew accordingly. For example, I remember that there was a wooded path right outside my middle school and since I lived so close to it, it seemed only appropriate that I would like into that area. Along the way, I fell and rode into trees far more often than I would otherwise care to admit. As a kid, the excitement can build to a point where you simply disregard your wellbeing.

I am still interested in the city bicycle efforts that are done today, even though I am without a ride now. Mine was stolen but still I found myself interested in companies along the lines of Linus Bike. This entity, amongst others, is able to focus on the stories that talk about the advancements made in the way of cycling. It's clear that more methods have been taken up in order to make matters easier for those who commute and I am happy to see that there is a great level of interest tied into the work done.

Looking back on just how much of an impact bikes have had on me, I hope to replace the one that was stolen from me in due time. It gave me the best kind of exercise imaginable and I don't think that anyone can make an effective argument about this. Those who want to travel will be able to take up this method and become fitter all the while. It's also the activity which has had a great impact on me when I was younger and I don't want that to abruptly end.
