Feng Shui Bedroom Layout & Other Advice For Better Health & Relationships

By Raymond Chang

It is very important to know how to use feng shui in your bedroom. Doing it the right way can bring you huge benefits when it comes to health and relationships. It is also important to point out that we spend one third of our entire lives in the bedroom!

For this reason I think it is next to impossible to think that you are throwing money away by investing in creating the perfect bedroom.

If your love life is lacking passion here are some adjustments you can try. You may also find that these tips will help your health to benefit in addition to your relationship matters.

1. Make sure that your bed has a headboard and that the headboard is placed up against a solid wall in your bedroom.

2. Ensuring that the bedroom door is visible when lying in bed is recommended as it will give you a better sense of security.

3. The bed should be positioned so that chi can flow around it naturally. Three sides of the bed should not be touching any walls. If this is not possible, you can place a red rug under the bed. Doing this will stimulate any energy that has been trapped.

4. Don't position your bed to be in line with the doorway. Doing that would cause secret arrows to form. If this is not an option you can hang a crystal between the bed and the doorway to refract the killing chi caused by the secret arrows and disperse it in different directions.

Other Advice Beyond Feng Shui Bedroom Layout

1. In feng shui we don't advise keeping sharp metal objects such as scissors, knives, etc. near you in your bedroom. When in the bedroom, these objects represent being cut, which can manifest in various forms such as being attacked or having to undergo surgery.

2. It is recommended that you do not place any large mirrors in the bedroom. If you do, ensure that you cannot see your own reflection in any the mirrors when you are lying in bed.

3. Remove all water features and plants from your room.

4. Ensure your lighting is not too bright or too dim. The right balance of yin and yang elements here is essential.

5. Your bed should be made of wood rather than metal.

6. It is recommended to spend a large portion of your home investment money on your bedroom, as this is such an important room for your home.

7. If there is anything that does not support love, passion or health and rest in your bedroom, take it out of there. Your bedroom should not resemble a bedroom / office or a multi purpose room.

8. Try to have a good balance of five elements in your room.
